About Us

Cary is a residential suburb near Raleigh, North Carolina and located in the Research Triangle Park. Cary’s main industries are Information Technology, Life Sciences, Clean Technology, and Advanced Manufacturing. There are six non-profit universities and a community college in the area. Cary High School is listed as the first public high school in North Carolina. Students at Cary are proud of the long history of the school and the many traditions that accompany this history, as well as its diverse student body. In addition to the normal curriculum, students have the option to participate in AP Capstone, our most rigorous academic program, an Academy of Technology and Advanced Manufacturing, and Career and College Promise dual enrollment courses at local community colleges.

The Cary High School community will work collaboratively to prepare and inspire students to be highly effective communicators, critical thinkers, and creators (innovators) who will gain the skills and attributes needed to succeed in a complex global society.
