1. Caps and gowns are ceremonial attire and are to be worn accordingly; the only occasions for wearing them are:
- Senior Awards Assembly
- Senior Night
- Graduation
- Church programs
- Family pictures
- Baccalaureate
2. Caps and gowns should always be worn in a dignified way.
- Gowns should not be wrinkled (press with a cool iron or hang). The point of the cap is worn to the rear. The tassel is worn over the right temple.
- Reminder: Ladies should wear white (or very light colored) dresses and white dress shoes.
- Men should wear white shirts, dark ties, dark shoes, and dark pants. No one should wear flip-flops, tennis shoes, blue jeans, hats, etc., for any of the above ceremonies.
3. Dressing inappropriately may mean that you will not be allowed to participate.
- Look your best. This is your day. Finally.
- If a staff member makes a request pertaining to your clothing, please respond in a positive manner.
- If you foresee a problem with dress code, you may need to see the Principal before May 9th.
- Diplomas may not be issued to students who knowingly violate the dress code.
4. The Senior class Officers demonstrate the correct way to wear caps and gowns on a video which will be shown prior to Senior Night. Watch for it!
- No hair, absolutely none, resting on forehead. No bangs please!
- If your diploma is "pulled" for any reason, when you receive it will be at the principal's discretion.
