CARY HIGH ASKS YOU TO COMMIT TO SAFE DRIVING
National Teen Driver Safety Week is October 19-25.
Learning to drive is a big step in life. The Cary High community recognizes that getting a driver’s license is an important milestone and we’re committed to helping our students stay safe on the road. To demonstrate that commitment, Cary High is participating in State Farm’s Celebrate My Drive initiative. Celebrate My Drive encourages teen drivers to make positive choices like driving 2N2® 2 eyes on the road and 2 hands on the wheel.
We ask everyone 14 and older to go to www.celebratemydrive.com, once a day, every day from Oct. 15 to Oct 24, to support the IMPS and safe driving. Spread the word. Invite your family and friends. The more safe driving commitments our community makes, the better our chance to win a $100,000 grant for our school and a private concert by The Band Perry.
This year Herff Jones will not be collecting our senior dues for us. You can pay your dues online, the link is below, or you can pay by cash/check on the order days 10/30 and 10/31 during lunch or on 10/30 at night. Please make checks payable to Cary High School for $20. Mr. Bryant has reduced senior fees by $10. All senior fees, library fines and textbooks fines need to be paid in order to receive your diploma.
The Junior class will hold its annual bonfire during homecoming week. Join us Thursday, October 23rd from 7:30 - 9:30 at Phillip's Farm in Cary. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the bonfire. The Senior Muffin Wednesday for October is fast approaching and we will need your help. Last month, we distributed over 20 dozen muffins. We are requesting muffins (preferably no nuts) to be distributed to the Senior Class next Wednesday, October 1st. Large muffins like the ones from the warehouse stores are preferred (we cut them into two portions). If you cannot donate muffins, your time or monetary donations are also accepted. Monetary donations allow us to purchase muffins, napkins, and extra supplies for the Seniors.
**HOMEMADE muffins cannot be distributed due to Wake County policies. Use this link to sign-up:
