The speech and debate team competed this past weekend at Terry Sanford High School in Fayetteville. Congratulations to Elena Watts, who placed first in original oratory; to Michael Wellnitz, who placed second in impromptu speaking and fourth in original oratory; to Caleb Horowitz, who placed third in original oratory and third in impromptu speaking; and to Anja de Waal and Marie McCoy, who placed fourth in varsity public forum debate.

This year Herff Jones will not be collecting our senior dues for us. You can pay your dues online, by clicking here, or you can pay by cash/check on the order days 10/30 and 10/31 during lunch or on 10/30 at night. Grade Power Learning Cary, the sponsor of the Cary High PTSA 2015 Grade Power Learning Academic Scholarship for a student attending a 2-yr technical school, is offering an SAT prep class. This is a 10 week classroom SAT prep program that covers Math, Reading and Writing. The program includes an SAT Work book, a Study Guide and (2) Full-length SAT proctored practice tests. The class meets for two hours each Saturday afternoon from 12:30-2:30pm beginning on Saturday, November 1, in preparation for the January 24, 2015 SAT test. STUNT, The newest sport in the nation is coming to WCPSS this spring. This competitive sport combines aspects of cheerleading and gymnastics in a fun, fast-paced game of skill, strength, and teamwork. The regular season will begin March with games taking place on Thursday nights. Playoffs and the first NC STUNT Championship will be held in late April and early May.
