Kudos to the Cary High Football Team! The Imps are wearing gold socks in September to promote awareness of Pediatric Cancer Month. The team is seeking donations for cancer research the Vs.Cancer foundation. Several players and Coach Glendenning will shave their heads following Friday’s Powder Puff game as part of a fund-raising effort. Talk to a football player to learn more!
The Cary High NJROTC Athletic Team competed at the Clayton Ironman Competition on Saturday, September 13. In a narrow and tightly contested competition against 12 teams, the Cary athletes finished in 4th place. Go Imps!

Anyone interested in joining Club GANG GREEN, the student-body section of the Cary Crazies, can do so by bringing $20 by Coach Yerger's room 2132 anyday during SMART LUNCH. You will receive a T-Shirt and Wrist band. Any members who have paid already but not picked up their shirt can do so at lunch.

Attention Seniors! The senior counselors are offering College Bootcamp Sessions after school on several dates to assist you with preparing your college applications. Please come to Student Services to sign up for any of these sessions. Space is limited, so please sign up early!What is College Boot Camp? The College Boot Camp Series is designed to walk seniors through the application process.
There are three main sessions: Getting Started (Sept. 23), Writing Your College Essay (Sept. 30 in Room 1015), and Finishing Touches (Oct. 9). Counselors will offer additional help sessions for general application assistance to coincide with CFNC's College Application Week (November 10-14). More information regarding College Application Week will come soon.
Counselors will begin individual conferences with senior students soon! Seniors need to stop by Student Services to sign-up for a time starting today! Senior conferences will be held through October 3rd.
Grade Power Learning Cary, the sponsor of the Cary High PTSA 2015 Grade Power Learning Academic Scholarship for a student attending a 2-yr technical school, is offering an SAT prep class.
This is a 10 week classroom SAT prep program that covers Math, Reading and Writing. The program includes an SAT Work book, a Study Guide and (2) Full-length SAT proctored practice tests. The class meets for two hours each Saturday afternoon from 12:30-2:30pm beginning on Saturday, September 20 in preparation for the December 6th SAT test. Students interested in becoming architects, construction site managers, engineers: Please consider joining the ACE Mentor Program. It offers you the opportunity to visit construction sites, study blueprints, learn about CAD programs, etc. You will work to complete projects with other interested students from all over Wake County, under the guidance of successful architects, construction site managers, and engineers in this area. You will meet about once each month, in the late afternoon, in Raleigh or in Cary. You will need to provide your own transportation.
